Well, no matter. Kick his ass later. You played the hell out of KHII before, and does that include Sephy on Proud? I mean, Critical might make it harder, since you have way less health, but then, he's so strong that most of his combos will knock you down to 1 HP anyway if you've got Once More and Second Chance, so it might not make any real difference, aside from several of his attacks that are much harder to escape damage from, but aren't normally as brutal as his combos.

I figured you weren't being mean. And yeah, I have taken Sephy down on Proud before. Though I saved before the battle, as I had farmed up a CRACK TON of Power Boosts. I beat him the first time, forcing myself to not use them, and then went back and beat him... at over one hundred Strength. It was a phenomenal difference.

Flash was what was getting me. I always get the first one right, but afterwards he started spamming it and the first hit in it kills me, even with Once More and Second Chance equipped.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've just been grinding mostly. Nothing really new to report, but I'm finally Level 70. Lexaeus, here comes Papa!

And they all went down pretty smoothly. Bar Lexaeus, because I had forgotten to re-equip everyone with Hi-Potions. Whoops.
Finish Pride Lands.
Do Twilight Town final visit.
Do TWTNW until Roxas fight.
Go back and level grind.
Fight Absent Silhouettes
Grind more.
Cavern of Remembrance.
Finish TWTNW
Do the Tournaments
Beat the game
Beat Terra.

Hey guys, I'm almost done grinding. I figured out a really cool and time-efficient method of doing so: preliminarily, get enough of each Shard, Stone, and Gem synthesis item so that you can sell them in the shop. It's fine to have Lucky Lucky's on you, it won't affect what you're doing too much. I got to level 72 when I was done with all of it, and it was a pretty significant raise from where I started. After that, I recommend going and grinding either wherever you have the most fun doing so, or doing my new Pride Rock trick.

With the earlier setup from Pride Rock, the only difference is that you're in TWTNW, and you're farming for Creepers. Which appear two screens after the Moogle. I kill the Samurai just for funsies as well, and it doesn't slow me down terribly. With my setup, I get 900xp from each Creeper, and one farming session (clearing that area up to the big Creeper spawn on the ramp) nets me ~26k per run. And it's just a couple of minutes, really. At the point I am, that's about half of a level gain. You can use this as early as you want, but if you're really low-leveled then I strongly suggest using Photon Debugger and Thundaga.

Apparently, a well-timed Reflega can stop Heartless Angel... I've seen it done on Youtube, I think. Never pulled it off, myself... But, then, I used to ignore Reflect entirely in favor of Thunder, Cure, Potion, and Fire on my shortcuts.

Well, Reflect deals insane damage for whatever level you're at, or whatever spell level you have it at. Try it out one time (morning stars are good tests) and see what happens. It's actually kinda funny.

Beat Sephiroth. Now I'm headed to the Cavern of Remembrance.

Finish Pride Lands.
Do Twilight Town final visit.
Do TWTNW until Roxas fight.
Go back and level grind.
Fight Absent Silhouettes
Grind more.
Cavern of Remembrance.
Finish TWTNW

I'd also like to say Seph gave me another drive gauge, and not Saix.

Huh. Well, I know that Sephy gives you the 7th Drive bar in the normal game.

And actually, I mean that I USED to not use Reflect. Now, I use it, and it kicks ass. It also helps with hard-to-dodge attacks...

Dodge roll is for quick getaways and short distances. Quick Run is for when you need to get somewhere in a hurry and you don't have time to High Jump->Aerial Dodge...land.

Still, though, there's the skateboard for getting places quickly, and high-level Glide is faster than that. Plus, Quick Run does get you out of the way of attacks. With a dodge roll, it's still kinda unnecessary, I'll grant you that, but it does make a decent substitute.

Simple: Square realized that people liked Dodge Roll better, and that it WAS better - hence why it's present in some form in all other games after this one, rather than Quick Run - so they put it in for Final Mix. However, people would find it strange if Quick Run were suddenly gone, and some, yes, find it helpful when getting around faster, and there aren't skateboards in EVERY area you need them to be...

Aerial Dodge->Glide is WAY faster than the board. Trust me. Quick Run allows movement (Flame Pillar and burst away attacks come to mind) but Dodge Roll gives you a different kind of dodge. It's situational, but it's like comparing Aqua's Cartwheel to Terra's Slide.

Guys? The Data Battles. They broke me. I can't even. I just can't even. All of them are at max health, they have max potential damage power, I'm stuck at about half of my health, and fucking... God. I can't do it. If I stat grind grind to maximum potential, I MIGHT have a chance at beating them fairly. But until then, I'm screwed. I'll post the images of all the puzzles and re-skinned Heartless tomorrow.

Huh, that so, Edgar? So, Demyx really is the biggest asshole in the universe. I don't feel as sorry for his FGA incarnation anymore... There MUST be a better strategy for handling his Water Forms. But hey! Once you kick all their asses, you get a neat crown on Sora's head, proclaiming that you are one of the elites among KHII players!

Is it just me, or does Japan get most of the awesome, yet insanely-difficult stuff? They get the Final Mixes, which nets them tons of insane bonus bosses, and there are other examples that I really can't recall at the moment.
